Electrical Wiring
Panels

The electrical wiring panel is an essential part
in almost everything we build, maintain and construct
around the globe.
When updating an electrical service, it's
important to know how to wire an electrical panel, often called
a breaker panel or wiring panel, the correct way.
Its also important to get the correct kind of
wiring panel or circuit breaker panel to meet your needs and
your local codes.
Standard electrical panels are fed from either
the service meter or the electrical disconnect. The wire size
depends on the size of your electrical panel installation and
meter size. The most common sizes used in residential
installations is 100 and 200-amp breaker panels. In 100-amp
installations, #2 thhn wire is required to feed the panel. In
200-amp installations, 3/0 thhn wire is needed. Both
installations have an single-phase installation with two "hot"
wires feeding them.
The types of wiring panels used
are: Structured Panels for Residential
Common Residential Panels
Enclosed Panels
Cable Structured Panels
Other types of Wiring
Panels: Automotive or Wiring Panels, used
for the electrical systems in cars, boats and all types of
motorized vehicles.
Solar Wiring Panels are an important part of
the solar energy panels that are available today.
